Music Therapy Assistant Professor Heeyoun Cho

Music Therapy Assistant Professor Heeyoun Cho has won a community benefit grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation to support a research project, “Therapeutic Songwriting for Persons with Dementia and Their Caregivers.”

The purpose of the project is to provide psychosocial support using therapeutic songwriting to persons with dementia and their caregivers living in the Northern Chautauqua County area. Dr. Cho plans to conduct the project with music therapy students in the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.

Grand finale concert of Harp Day set for April 28

The most heavenly of musical sounds – a room full of harps – will be presented by musicians of all ages in the grand finale concert that culminates the annual Harp Day at SUNY Fredonia in Mason Hall on Sunday, April 28.
