Polowy, Kalsman, Gaughran are triple winners

The Fredonia women's swimming and diving team picked up a pair of victories at SUNY Buffalo State over the Bengals and Alfred State on Saturday. McKayla Polowy and Erin Kalsman each picked up three individual wins, and Lydia Gaughran had one individual victory and was in a pair of first-place finishes in relays.

Here are the first-place finishers:
200 Yard Medley Relay - Lauren Ditchey, Sierra Parsons, Lydia Gaughran, and Emilie Phinney - 2:03.78
200 Yard Freestyle Relay - Emilie Phinney, Lauren Ditchey, Rachael Mayou, and Lydia Gaughran - 1:51.02
1000 Yard Freestyle - McKayla Polowy - 11:37.46
100 Yard -McKayla Polowy - 59.56
500 Yard Freestyle - McKayla Polowy - 5:45.64
200 Free - Erin Kalsman - 2:05.49
200 Yard IM - Erin Kalsman - 2:22.66
200 Yard Breaststroke - Erin Kalsman - 2:45.92
200 Yard Butterfly - Lydia Gaughran - 2:32.03
1 mtr Diving – Jess Schimek - 209.25

The Devils defeated SUNY Buffalo State 154.00-112.00, and downed Alfred State 161.00-93.00. The team travels to Alfred University next weekend for a tri-match with Alfred and U of R.

Strong showing at Cortland

The men's swim team had a strong showing at the Cortland Snowflurries Invitational this past weekend. Competeting against seven other teams -- including six SUNYAC squads -- the team earned a second-place finish. Kyle Copper had a pair of individual firsts, with Drew Page earning the other individual first.
