Anna Sheehan has been named February Student of the Month by the Office of Residence Life.
A senior Video Production major with minors in Sport Management and Political Science from Angola, NY, Anna is the Programming Director and Remote Broadcast Director for student television station WNYF-TV, a Fredonia Athletics Sports Videographer, Fredonia Hockey Social Media Manager and a Student Technician in Information Technology.
“Anna is one of the hardest working students I've seen on campus. She has worked with me in ITS for over three years and has become one of the most reliable student workers in ITS. Even doing all her extracurricular stuff she is able to maintain a 3.6 GPA,” noted ITS Service Delivery Manager Mark Mackey, who nominated Sheenan for the award.
Anna’s favorite things about Fredonia are “the small class sizes, my professors, and my peers.” Anna’s future goals include “After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in sports media, or in a newsroom setting.”
The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community.
