Vink’s published article to be translated for Chinese academic press

Roger Coda

The article “Indian Ocean Studies and the ‘New Thalassology,'" written by History professor Markus Vink and published in the March 2007 issue of the Journal of Global History, (Volume 2, Issue 1): 41-62, has been selected for a forthcoming edited volume of English essays that will be translated for Chinese scholars.

According to the book's editors, Dr. Vink's article was selected for translation because it was one of "the most important/influential journal articles on world/global history that were published in U.S. and Europe during the past 15 years or so."
