Volunteer opportunities abound at Community Service Fair

The 16th Community Service Fair, sponsored by the Office of Volunteer and Community Services at Fredonia, will be held at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from a variety of local service agencies to learn about and sign up for volunteer opportunities available through these organizations.

Participating agencies include: American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, The Chautauqua Center, Cassadaga Job Corps, Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club, N.Y.S. Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Fredonia Fire Department, Lakeshore Humane Society, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue and Unyts;

Also, Fredonia Mini Maker Faire, Centaur Stride Inc., Kidney Foundation of WNY, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, Greystone Nature Preserve, YWCA of Westfield, Upward Bound, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Henry C. Youngerman Center at the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences at Fredonia, WCA Home, St. Columban's on the Lake, Brooks-TLC Hospital System Inc. and Habitat for Humanity, among others.

The fair is free and open to Fredonia students, faculty and staff and community members.
