“Simply Because People Refuse to See Me: The Black Lives Matter Movement in Historical Context,” featuring Dr. Yohuru Williams, a scholar of the Civil Rights and Black Power movements and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of St. Thomas, will be presented on Zoom on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 7 p.m.
SUNY Fredonia is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of the campus and community, and that means providing up-to-date information about COVID-19. The dashboard page is designed to track COVID-19 cases on campus.
The Princeton Review included Fredonia among the “Best Northeastern Colleges,” in the U.S. in its 2021 rankings, and was also in Money’s 2020-2021 Best Colleges Rankings.
The federal CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Stability) Act has allocated $2.7 million to Fredonia to distribute to students who were directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic during the spring semester.
Fredonia’s Jump Start Enrollment Program for undergraduate first-year and transfer students will be taking place online in July. A letter will be sent home to all new students and families the week of June 7 with details.
Following guidance provided by the State University of New York administration, SUNY Fredonia is offering "student choice" in regards to the unused room and board created by the move to distance education in the middle of the Spring 2020 semester.

The university is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). There currently are no known cases of the virus in Fredonia or Chautauqua County, but there are cases elsewhere in New York and the number will likely increase.
