SUNY Fredonia alumni among 2024 GRAMMY winners

SUNY Fredonia School of Music alumni Randy Merrill, ’97, won a GRAMMY as mastering engineer for his work on “Midnights” by Taylor Swift for Album of the Year, and Charlie Post, ’98, won with David Frost in the category of the Best Engineered Album, Classical, for “Contemporary American Composers,” by Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

MOVEit data breaches affect campuses nationwide

The State University of New York at Fredonia and college campuses across the country are monitoring three related nationwide data breaches traced back to MOVEit Transfer, a file transfer software used by third-party contractors.

Campus begins testing students for COVID-19

Surveillance testing for COVID-19 was launched during the first week of classes at Fredonia, with about 100 students participating in the innovative pooled surveillance approach that uses saliva samples, collected in small batches to be run as one test, so results can be delivered back to campus within just a few days.
