Birger Vanwesenbeeck, assistant professor of English, has published the article, "Loss in the Mail: Pynchon, Psychoanalysis, and the Postal Work of Mourning," in the scholarly journal, the Postmodern Culture  (published by Johns Hopkins University Press).  Postmodern Culture has become a leading electronic journal of interdisciplinary thought on contemporary cultures.

Dr. Vanwesenbeeck's  research interests lie in 20th century American literature and culture, critical theory, and world literature. He is the co-editor of William Gaddis: ‘The Last of Something’ and I have published scholarly articles on Gaddis and Thomas Pynchon.
