Dambacher qualifies for NCAA 100, 200 dashes

Anna Dambacher (Sophomore; Divernon, Ill.) has officially qualified for the NCAA meet which starts Thursday at Ohio Wesleyan University's Shelby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio. She is Fredonia State's lone NCAA representative, male or female.

Dambacher is entered in two dashes -- the No. 7 seed in the 200 meters, No. 10 seed in the 100 meters based on official entry declarations revealed Sunday. Both of her NCAA qualifying times came May 2 at the SUNYAC meet – 12.03 seconds in 100 meters, 24.50 seconds in the 200 meters.

There are 22 women in each NCAA event, with the top 8 moving on to finals after preliminary heats. Preliminaries in the 200 meters begin 7 p.m. Thursday with the final at 4:25 p.m. Saturday. The 100 prelims begin 7:30 p.m. Friday with the final set for 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.
