February 12, 2009 marks the 200th Birthday of Charles Darwin. The Department of Biology has chosen to celebrate this on Friday, Nov. 14, in 101 Jewett Hall, at 4 p.m. with guest peaker Dr. Justin Ramsey of the University of Rochester, Department of Biology. The title of his talk is “Speciation and Adaptation in Flowering Plants.” The Department of Biology hopes invites the public to this presentation.
“Curious and Creative Conversations,” a new series that showcases research conducted by faculty, will be held in the Reed Library Garden Area on designated Wednesdays during February, March and April.
Researchers funded by federal agencies are now mandated to make their research publicly accessible within one year of publication. Numerous private organizations and foundations have followed suit with similar mandates. Reed Library is helping researchers meet the standards.
Associate Professor Heather McEntarfer has co-authored, with Dr. Matthew Rice, a qualitative research article that examines the experiences of transgender and non-binary (TGNB) Pre-K-12 teachers.
