Faculty Showcase Concert

“The upcoming Faculty Showcase on October 3rd has a unique and interesting program,” said Laura Koepke, bassoon professor and concert organizer. “It includes a chamber music/dance collaboration, a great solo work of J.S. Bach, a faculty composition with the composer participating as narrator, and a fun twist on a famous Wagner chord.”

 Program:

  • “Epitaphs” by professor Rob Deemer, performed by Maureen Yuen, violin, David Rose, viola, Natasha Farny, cello and Rob Deemer, narrator.
  • Bach Suite in E flat Major for solo viola BWV 1010, performed by David Rose
  • A Bassoon quartet by Peter Schickele, “Last Tango in Bayreuth”, performed by Laura Koepke, along with three of her students.
  • The Fredonia Woodwind Quintet (faculty ensemble-in-residence- Susan Royal, flute; Sarah Hamilton, oboe; Andrew Seigel, clarinet; Marc Guy, horn; Laura Koepke, bassoon) performs a woodwind quintet by Jean Berger, joined by guest dancers.
