Fredonia’s Career Development Office will host its annual Job and Internship Expo, along with its Summer Job Expo, on Wednesday, March 7, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Job and Internship Expo will be in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, and the Summer Job Expo will be held in Williams Center Room G103B.

The event will bring together more than 80 organizations eager to discuss potential job or internship opportunities. A variety of industries will offer full-time and part-time positions or paid and unpaid for-credit internships. These include business, energy, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, health and human service agencies, retail management, government, law enforcement and many other fields.

The Summer Job Expo will allow students from all class years to make connections with employers seeking seasonal candidates for camps, recreation departments, human service agencies and local or regional businesses. A full list of participating organizations can be found online, and participants will continue to be added as the event approaches.

The Job and Internship Expo is one of the largest career fairs in Western New York. Organizations scheduled to participate are based in Chautauqua and Erie counties, Rochester, and throughout all of New York State. There will be many out-of-state organizations attending as well.

The event is free to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally, bring several copies of their résumés or work portfolios, and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event. Job postings from the employers attending will be available in FREDNetwork, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Several companies will return for on-campus interviews before and after the event.

Interested employers can register for the event online. To learn more, contact the Career Development Office at 716-673-3327 or email.
