Christine Davis Mantai

SUNY Fredonia is hosting a national certification to teach group fitness on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This one-day program is designed for fitness enthusiasts who would be interested in teaching group fitness classes.  The regular cost is $299; however, all Fredonia students, faculty and staff are eligible for a 25 percent  discount, bringing the cost down to $224.25.

The course will be offered by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, the world’s largest fitness education company.

The course will be held in Dods Hall, and will include exercise theory and review, as well as written and practical exams.

To be eligible for the discount or obtain further information, contact Pam Benchley. "This is a perfect opportunity for exercise majors, dancers, and others to earn money while working out," Ms. Benchley said.
