The Fredonia men’s hockey team will host its annual “Pink the Rink” game on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Steele Hall Ice Arena.

The Blue Devils will take on Post University in an exciting NCAA contest. It will be the 10th year the team has held the “Pink the Rink” game and players will be wearing a new style jersey unlike any worn in past years. The Blue Devils will don their pink jerseys and socks for the event with all proceeds from the sale of the jerseys going to the American Cancer Society. All available jerseys are sold for this year’s event.

Jersey sales alone, since the inception of Pink The Rink in 2007, have totalled over $50,000. Gates receipts and sales of pink items brought the total over $60,000 in 2016.

Presale tickets for the game, $7 for adults, $3 for students and $2 for Fredonia students with ID, will be available in the Department of Athletics Office at 120 Dods Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 18 and 19, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and Friday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. until noon. The ticket window in Steele Hall and the doors to the ice arena will open at 5:30 p.m. on game day. No booster passes or complimentary tickets may be used for this special event.

Following the game, donors will receive the jerseys from Blue Devil players.
