Professor Emeritus Heichberger releases new children's book

Michael Barone

Dr. Robert L. Heichberger, professor emeritus of the College of Education at SUNY Fredonia and founder of the college's Educational Leadership Program,  has authored a new book titled, “Tell Me a Story Grandpa.”

The book is a collection of 10 stories told by the author to his six grandchildren. The stories are his grandchildren’s favorite selections, which also have become favorites among children all over the world. Each of the stories contains a philosophical element that inspires children to appreciate their life experiences.

Dr. Heichberger taught at SUNY Fredonia for over five decades. He has authored three other books, although this is his first children’s book. He is the creator, producer and moderator of the radio show, “Focus on Education,” and frequently gives lectures and motivational speeches.
