Raffle of Jet Blue tickets will help Ecuadoran youth

The SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) team will be raffling off a pair of donated Jet Blue tickets as a fundraiser for A.M.I.G.O.S. in Ecuador. A.M.I.G.O.S. is “A Mission In Giving Opportunities to Students”, established last semester by a student team in the business marketing department.

Tickets are on sale now at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center, and will continue on sale through April 2.  The live drawing will be held April 3 at 3 p.m. in the Williams Center.

Raffle tickets sold will be entered into a drawing for plane tickets to anywhere Jet Blue flies.

Through A.M.I.G.O.S., money was raised last year to help Ecuadorans between the ages of 8 and 17 break the cycle of poverty by helping them obtain job-related skills.  Continuing the global outreach started by students last year, a team in the Integrated Marketing Communications class is using the raffle proceeds to help these students again with a monetary gift to the Fundacion De Crecer.
