Recital of Italian opera works to feature faculty and international guests

Fredonia voice faculty members Julie Newell and Daniel Ihasz, along with guests from the State Conservatory of Music in Pescara Italy, will present a concert highlighting well-known operatic arias and ensembles from the Italian operatic heritage on Friday, Sept. 5 at 8 p.m., in Rosch Recital Hall.

Guests artists include Professor Stefania Donzelli, soprano; Professor Sandra Buongrazio, soprano; and Dr. Vincenzo De Blasis, piano.

"Amici del Canta" will be a recital of Italian aria favorites. The collaboration celebrates the development of an academic exchange program between Fredonia and Pescara.

The event is free and open to the public and there will be an open reception following the performance with the audience encouraged to greet and welcome the guests from Italy.
