Relay for Life volunteers achieve outstanding success

Relay For Life volunteers in the Colleges Against Cancer campaign raised $25,600 for the American Cancer Society during its April 2009 event on campus. By surpassing its goal of raising $19,000, the group achieved "astounding success," American Cancer Society Relay for Life organizer Tami Gabry said.

This year's event included a  total of 50 teams which came together at SUNY Fredonia, including 525 participants and 27 survivors.

The Relay For Life committee/Colleges Against Cancer group at SUNY Fredonia worked all year to put the event together.

The American Cancer Society thanked the volunteers, as well as the faculty, staff, community members, and family members who came out to support the event
