Rosa Parks Scholarship winners honored April 7

The Center for Multicultural Affairs announced the winners of the 2009 Rosa Parks Memorial Scholarship Competition, who will be honored at the annual ceremony April 7 at 4 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. The honorees will present their prize-winning submissions and be feted at the reception following in the Horizon Room of the Williams Center.

This Year's Winners are:

  • Senior, Kaitlin Frisicaro, who will present a monotype entitled:  “In Strenth, Creation, and Spirit…”
  • Senior, Christa Schreckengost, who will read her poem, “India’s Outcastes”
  • Sophomore, Sean L. Brown III, who will prform his CD, “Barack My World”

The Hospital Locator, a new app designed for the iPhone that lets you locate the nearest hospital, has been developed by Alim Darmenov, a sophomore Computer Science major, under the supervision of SUNY Distinguished Professor Junaid Zubairi.
