Ski & Ride Club plans trip to Vermont in January

Christine Davis Mantai

The SUNY Fredonia Ski & Ride Club, a student organization, will be active this winter providing opportunities for students, faculty and staff who like to ski or snowboard.  The club is sponsoring a trip to Killington Mountain Resort, Vermont, during the first full week of January. Included in the package are five nights lodging, a 5-1/2 day lift ticket and many activities aimed at college students. Also, ski packages at Holiday Valley Ski Resort in Ellicottville are offered through the club and can be purchased at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office. One of the plans includes eight group lessons.

The club offers bus transportation during six consecutive Sundays to Holiday Valley, starting Feb. 2. The bus leaves the Williams Center at 1 p.m. and returns at 10:30 p.m. Movies are shown during the bus ride. Other plans include packages for rentals, different nights during the week.

For information on all the packages and prices, contact the club president, Brendon Mang (bmang@fredonia.edu), or co-advisor Marjorie Plaister (marjorie.plaister@fredonia.edu).
