A bigger “help wanted” sign could easily be posted at the Williams Center for the Job and Internship Expo to be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2 to 5 p.m.

New this year will be a Summer Job Expo, in G103 BC, which will be staffed by approximately 20 employers focusing on summer jobs. The annual Job and Internship Expo returns to its home in the Multipurpose Room. Both events are free and open to current students and Fredonia alumni.

More than 75 employers will be on hand to discuss possible job openings and internships within their organizations. Represented industries include business, energy, financial services, manufacturing, health care, technology, health and human services, retail management, government, law enforcement, the armed forces and many other fields. They are seeking candidates for full- and part-time positions, summer jobs and/or paid or for-credit internships.

Companies scheduled to participate are based in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Cheektowaga, Amherst, Jamestown, Dunkirk, Fredonia and other upstate New York regions. In addition, there will be out-of-state organizations headquartered in Massachusetts, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

A full list of participating companies can be found at www.fredonia.edu/cdo. Participants will continue to be added as the event approaches.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress professionally, bring copies of their résumés or work portfolios and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event. Job postings from the employers attending will be available in FREDNetwork, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Several companies will return for on-campus interviews.

Interested companies can register for the event at: www.fredonia.edu/cdo/expo/. For more information, contact the Career Development Office at 716-673-3327 or careers@fredonia.edu. The CDO thanks the members of Tau Sigma and the Transfer Student Organization for volunteering to assist with the event.
