SUNY Fredonia to host University Senate Plenary sessions April 14-16

SUNY Fredonia will serve as the host site for the SUNY System’s 2011 University Senate Plenary meetings, to be held April 14-16 at various locations across the Fredonia campus.

Approximately 75 attendees representing campuses from across the SUNY system, including the Senate's 20-member Executive Committee and SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, will meet in Fredonia for a series of meetings to discuss a variety of academic issues that are of system-wide importance.

“It is a wonderful honor to be selected as a host site,” said SUNY Fredonia President Dennis Hefner. “We are excited to showcase all that Fredonia has to offer, and we welcome the chance to assist our colleagues as they perform this excellent service to our system.”

In addition to the meetings, attendees will be treated to a reception Friday evening at which Chancellor Zimpher will speak and a variety of SUNY Fredonia performing arts students will showcase their talents.
