In the fourth and final of a series of International Brown Bag presentations by Fredonia scholars, Theatre Professor Ted Sharon will show photos, video and discuss how his “Italian Adventure” in 2009 has impacted students, alumni and courses offered here at SUNY Fredonia.

His talk focuses on the summer of 2009, Twhen he, his 12 year old son Ben, and SUNY Fredonia alumnus Dan Lendzian (BA English, BFA Acting, American Studies minor) were cast in FESTA Theatre’s landmark production of Macbeth at the Bargello Museum in Florence, Italy. Professor Sharon played the role of Macduff and was the fight director for the production. He was also able to study for five weeks with La Confraternita della Spada di Firenze in Florence, Italy.

Funding for the 2009 “Italian Adventure” was provided by the Fredonia College Foundation’s Faculty Fellowship Award Program.
