SUNY Fredonia will host its fourth Social Science Colloquium of the semester with a by Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences, Dr. Teodora Cox. The event will take place on Monday, April 20 at 3 p.m. in 108 Fenton Hall.

Dr. Cox’s talk is entitled, “The Great Divide or the Best of Both Worlds: Qualitative and Quantitative Research in Mathematics Education.” Dean David Ewing of the College of Natural and Social Sciences will sponsor the event, and refreshments will be provided.

SUNY Fredonia’s College of Natural and Social Sciences is comprised of several departments including biology, business, biochemistry, chemistry, computer and information science, economics, geosciences, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, social work, speech pathology and audiology, sports management and exercise science.

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
