FREDONIA, N.Y. — Jan. 29, 2009 —The College Tutoring Services office (CTS), together with the Learning Center, the Full Opportunity Program, Disability Support Services for Students and the Educational Development Program, is now hiring students to join its tutoring staff for the 2009/2010 academic year.

CTS tutors are paid an hourly wage to work a scheduled number of hours, from 2 to 6 p.m., for drop-in students at the Learning Center or in one-on-one hourly sessions with specific students assigned by the program.

“Working as a tutor not only pays but has proven to be a golden credential for students seeking admission to graduate programs, competing for jobs, fellowships and teaching positions,” said Learning Center Director Liza Smith.

Applications are available in the Educational Development Program Office, the Learning Center, and online at www.fredonia.edu/tlc. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 13 by 5 p.m. All applications must be submitted to the Learning Center on the fourth floor of Reed Library.
