You Got This Online Program
You Got This is an online alcohol, drug, and sexual assault education course that is required of all new students at Fredonia. Log-in instructions will be emailed to each student's FREDmail account from Julie Bezek (via You Got This). All new students are required to complete the program prior to September 1, 2019. Failure to complete the program by that date will result in a ‘hold’ being placed on the student's account until such time that the You Got This program is completed. A hold will prevent students from checking midterm and final grades, as well as prevents students from registering for spring semester classes. Please direct questions or concern to Julie Bezek at Student Counseling Services - Julie.Bezek@fredonia.edu or716-673-3424.
Emergency Alert System Students interested in signing up for the Emergency Alert Notification may do so by signing into your student account in "Your Connection." Once you are logged in, click the Personal Information link from the Main Menu. The last option on the Personal Information menu is the link for Emergency Alert Contact Information (NY-ALERT). Please read all the information provided on the web pages and the system will guide you through the registration process.
Fredonia does not currently require students to have health insurance. It is strongly advised that insurance be maintained on all students to cover outside medical care and emergencies. Students should bring an insurance card to school with them. Many insurance plans limit services to your home area or require diagnostic tests and prescriptions to be ordered by your primary doctor. It is very important to know how your insurance works and if referrals are needed.
A student accident and health insurance program is not available through the University. If you do not currently carry health insurance, we strongly encourage you to consider the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). However, all International students MUST carry health insurance, please contact the International Education Center (716) 673-3451 for more information.
