Alumna forms Haitian Relief Fund on campus

Christine Davis Mantai

EDP Counselor Dinecia Pierre-Louis, a SUNY Fredonia alumna and employee who is from Haiti, is coordinating a SUNY Fredonia Haitian Relief Fund in collaboration with the Red Cross.  Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere,  was hit by a massive earthquake that killed more than 100,000 people and destroyed much of the island nation’s infrastructure.

The campus community is urged to consider making a donation to this fund. Make an online contribution through the Fredonia College Foundation here>>

Checks should be made payable to the “Fredonia College Foundation” with an indication the dollars are to be placed in the Haitian Relief account.

During the course of the next several weeks, these dollars will be routinely transferred to the Red Cross to assist with the humanitarian effort, President Dennis L. Hefner said.
