Area children invited for Trick or Treats in Mason Nov. 1

jack o'lanternThe 3rd Annual SUNY Fredonia Safe Halloween is taking place Saturday, Nov. 1, starting at noon in Mason Hall. This FREE event is aimed at elementary and middle school children and will feature crafts, dancing, shows, refreshments, games, haunted happenings, live music, and more than 40 rooms for kids to visit for "Trick or Treating." 

The event is sponsored by a host of student groups: Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Percussion Guild, MENC, Black Student Union, Teacher's Ed Club, Early Childhood Ed Club, Pagan Student Union, Art History Club, Fredonia Brass Association, Fredonia Woodwind Association, Morningstar, Catholic Student Union, S.T.E.P.S., Foreign Language Club, Improv. Collective, Premium Blend, Some Like It Hot, College Republicans, ASTA, Colleges Against Cancer Club, Leadership Corp., FSU Dance Team, ACDA, Pride Alliance, Theatrical Combat Club.

Fire Prevention activities will be sponsored by the Fredonia Fire Department.

The Hospital Locator, a new app designed for the iPhone that lets you locate the nearest hospital, has been developed by Alim Darmenov, a sophomore Computer Science major, under the supervision of SUNY Distinguished Professor Junaid Zubairi.
