Campus operations limited during semester break

Most campus buildings/businesses will be closed for 10 days, beginning on Friday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 1, for the traditional break between fall and spring semesters. Limited hours of operation will be in effect at other facilities.

The businesses/offices that will be open between the end of the fall semester and start of the spring semester include:

• Starbucks – open Dec. 18-23, Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2-16, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, 2022.
• University Bookstore and Convenience Store – open Dec. 20-23, 27-30, and Jan. 3-14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1 and 2, 2022.
• Garage/automotive services – open Dec. 20-23, 27-30, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Closed Dec. 24, 25, 26 and 31 and Jan. 1 and 2. Regular hours resume Jan. 3, 2022.
• Mailroom – open Dec. 20-23, 28 and 30, 8 a.m. until noon. Outgoing mail needs to be in the mailroom by 11:15 a.m. so it can be processed and taken to the post office on those days. Closed Dec. 24, 25, 26, 27, 29 and 31, Jan. 1 and 2, 2022.
• Facilities Services – open Dec. 20-22, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Dec. 23, 8 a.m. to noon; Dec. 27-30, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Dec. 31, 8 a.m. to noon. Closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26, Jan. 1 and 2. Heating services will continue standard 24/7-hour coverage with the exception of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2022.
• University Services – open Dec. 20-23; closed Dec. 24-Jan. 2, 2022. Normal hours resume Jan. 3, 2022.
• Cranston Marche will be open through 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17.

The Faculty Student Association (FSA) Office will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, and re-open on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at 8 a.m.

Tim Hortons will be open through Friday, Dec. 17.

The Thompson Hall copy center will be closed Dec. 20 through Jan. 2, 2022. Normal hours will resume on Jan. 3, 2022.

Purchasing will be open Dec. 20-24; closed Dec. 25 through Jan. 2, 2022. Normal hours resume Jan. 3, 2022.

University Police will continue to provide coverage 24/7 throughout the semester break.

Final grades are due at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, through Your Connection.

Residence halls will close at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, and re-open on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, on a staggered move-in schedule.
