De-stress for Success activities began Monday

De-stress for Success, is a series of events, programs and workshops designed to help students find ways to reduce stress in a healthy, productive manner while gaining the focus they need to succeed, began on Monday, May 6, and will continue through Friday, May 17.

Here’s what on the agenda:

Dino Day – Saturday, May 11, from noon to 2:30 p.m. Free Dinosaur Bar-B-Que for students, Gregory Hall Grove. Tickets are required and are available at the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center. Sponsored by Spectrum.

Paws to Relax – Monday and Tuesday, May 13 and 14, from noon to 1 p.m., Reed Library. Pet and play with certified therapy dogs.

Freeze Pops – Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14 and 15, from 11 a.m. to noon, Reed Library lobby. Relax with free Freeze Pops.

Healthy Bites – Monday through Friday, May 6-10 and May 13-17, Student Health Center in LoGrasso Hall. Free healthy snacks. Heathy snacks will also be available on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14 and 15, from noon to 1 p.m., at Reed Library.

Relaxation Kits – Monday through Friday, May 6-10 and 13-17. Student Health Center will offer free relaxation kits.

Quiet Study Areas – Reed Library has extended hours from Sunday, May 5, through Thursday, May 16. During this time, the Reed Library classroom (first floor, Carnahan-Jackson Center) will be available for quiet study in addition to the everyday quiet study areas on the second and third floors of the Carnahan-Jackson Center.

The Williams Center has designated the Multipurpose Room as a quiet study area Monday to Thursday, May 13-16, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., and Friday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Color Me Calm – Monday, May 6, through Thursday, May 16. The Counseling Center in LoGrasso Hall will offer free coloring kits.

Fitness Classes – The Aerobic Center will have a limited schedule of classes available during final exam week. The Aerobic Center is located in the lower level of Hemingway Hall. Please see the Facebook page online for the class schedule.

De-stress for Success events, free and open to all students, are sponsored by the Counseling Center, Reed Library, Enrollment and Student Services, Student Health Center, Residence Life, Campus Life and Spectrum.
