EAP continues summer yoga classes

Summer may be winding down far more quickly than anyone wants it to, but there is still time to take advantage of yoga classes held on Tuesday and Thursday, from noon to 1 p.m., in the Dods Hall dance studio.

Sponsored by the Fredonia Employee Assistance program, classes are available to campus employees, their family members and retirees of the university.

Yoga can serve as a means to relieve stress and an opportunity to meet some old or new friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

Participants in the recently completed Healthy 4 the Give summer wellness challenge not only set a goal to look and feel better, they also supported four local charities along the way. Donations were made to Safe Journey, a domestic violence women’s shelter; Chautauqua Partners in Kind; Union Relief Association of Westfield; and Chautauqua Rails to Trails.

The Employee Assistance Program provides services and referrals to employees in need of assistance and is coordinated by Susan Murphy; she can be reached at 716-673-3586 or at murphys@fredonia.edu
