Dr. Lei Huang, recipient of a teaching award, will edit a special issue of the journal Marketing Education Review.

Receiving the Innovations in Teaching Award from the Society for Marketing Advances resulted in Professor Huang, of the Department of Business Administration, being selected to edit the Marketing Education Review’s annual journal.

The issue that Huang oversees will highlight artificial intelligence (AI) and other technological innovations for experiential learning in marketing education with a diverse learner landscape.

Marketing Education Review is the only journal to offer an annual special issue on teaching innovations in marketing and its related disciplines. It is among the top resources for instructors to find innovative, evidence-based tools and techniques to improve classroom instruction and the student learning experience.

Huang will apply his expertise in digital marketing, innovative business curriculum design, student learning, and pedagogical research that advances the understanding of contemporary marketing education to this special issue.

Huang and his co-editor, Dr. Priyanka Singh of SUNY at Plattsburgh, invite submissions that explore how marketing education can meaningfully adapt to intergenerational diversity and technological disruption that go beyond tool-centric examinations of AI to consider broader questions of pedagogy, inclusion, faculty readiness and long-term learning outcomes.

They particularly encourage research that examines how instructional strategies, classroom technologies, assessment models and faculty development initiatives can be redesigned to engage all learners — from Boomers to Zoomers — in a shared, equitable learning experience.
