On Senior Day at Gowanda High School, Fredonia State baseball was shut out in both ends of a SUNYAC doubleheader to Oswego. The Devils had chances throughout the day but could not find the key hit, falling 6-0 in game one and 3-0 in game two.

Game One:
The first game saw Oswego strike early and build steady momentum at the plate. In the first inning, a run came across on an RBI play off an error. The Lakers added two more in the second, highlighted by RBI singles from Hudson Meyer and Emil Sander. In the third, Oswego extended the lead with two more runs to make it 5-0. Their final run came in the sixth inning when Daniel Winchester scored on a passed ball, closing out the 6-0 scoring line.
Fredonia collected nine hits in the opener, including a three-hit performance from Zachary Richards and multi-hit efforts from Bryce Firkins.

On the mound, Morgan Zientara took the loss, allowing five runs (two earned) over 3.1 innings, while Talfourd Wynne provided solid relief, giving up just one unearned run across 5.2 innings. Oswego's Mason Sands tossed eight shutout innings while scattering nine hits to keep the Devils off the scoreboard.

Game Two:
Game two turned into a pitcher's duel early before the Lakers broke through late. After five scoreless innings, Oswego got on the board in the sixth on an RBI bunt single from Grayson Giddings. They added another in the eighth when Giddings delivered again with an RBI double and capped the scoring in the ninth with an RBI groundout from Andrew Dempsey following a leadoff double.

Pitcher Michael Byrns started for Fredonia State and kept the game scoreless into the fifth, allowing no runs over 4.1 innings. Nick Syposs was tagged with the loss, surrendering two runs (one earned) in relief, while Jonah Church allowed one run late. Oswego's Jonah Shearer led the way with eight shutout innings, giving up just two hits, before Matthew Drillings closed out the game.

With the losses, Fredonia State moves to 6-20 overall and 5-8 in SUNYAC play. The Devils will next play in a non-conference matchup at home against Penn State Behrend on Tuesday 4 p.m.
