Students, faculty in Ethnic Studies course tour African American history museum

“Students were particularly moved by seeing Emmett Till's casket and Nat Turner's Bible. In a very different way, of course, they enjoyed seeing Chuck Berry's red Cadillac.” That’s one observation offered by English Professor Saundra Liggins following a field trip that she, History Professor Jennifer Hildebrand and students enrolled in the Ethnic Studies 389 course made during fall break to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

Professor receives U.S. patent for pioneering flight tracking technology

New Program Evaluation Center to partner with Chautauqua County Mental Health Services

The opening of the Fredonia Program Evaluation Center (F-PEC) was celebrated at a reception held on Sept. 6, at the Fredonia Technology Incubator. Approximately 50 representatives from local and county government, Chautauqua County Mental Health Services, Chautauqua Tapestry, the university and the community attended the event to support the exciting collaboration between the Fredonia and Chautauqua Tapestry.

First-year enrollment at Fredonia climbs, tops 1,150 students

The second-largest class of first-year students at Fredonia settled into their residence halls during “Move-In Weekend,” marking the first time since the 2014-2015 academic year that the campus enrolled more than 1,000 first-year students.
