Sunday, March 29 -- SLUSH RUSH 2015

SLUSH RUSH 2015 The Office of International Education is in the process of gearing up to do Slush Rush, an annual 5K marathon to support international student scholarships, on March 29th. All alums are invited to participate. Date: March 29th, 2015 Place: SUNY Fredonia (Starting point TBD) Race Day Registration: 7.30 am - 8.45 am Race Day Check In: 7.30 am - 8.45 am Race Time Starts: 9 am Registration Cost: $25 (Current FRED student $15 with FRED card) Post Race Party and Awards immediately following the last runner's finish!! Wednesday, Jan. 28 – The Stirring of a Thousand Bells

Join the History and Music Departments, along with the Office of International Education, for a screening of The Stirring of a Thousand Bells , two short films by Fredonia alumnus Matt Dunning, '06. The film introduces us to Gamelan, one of the ancient and most enchanting musical traditions of the world, from Java, Indonesia. Prior to the screening, the History Department will be hosting a reception, with light food and a sampling of Gamelan music by Fredonia's very own Hot Iron Gamelan Ensemble. Following the screening, Matt will be answering questions and discussing his inspiration for the film. Wednesday, January 28 -6:00 - 9:00 PM -Williams Center Multipurpose Room
