Communication Disorders and Sciences Professor Bridget Russell is the program chairperson for the 2009 convention of the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

She has been invited to address the XVII Annual Pacific Voice Conference at UCLA on two topics: "The value of Flow Volume Loops in Dx and Tx of neurological and mimicking dysphonias;"  and "The cost of breathing: Impacts on assessment and treatment of neurogenic dysphonia."

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
