Buffalo theatre community picks Fredonia alumni for awards

Alumni and faculty of Fredonia's theatre and dance department were among those who won Artie Awards in Buffalo recently. The Arties are the "Tonys" of Buffalo.

  • Outstanding Production of a Play - "In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)," featuring Katie White Doherty, '93.
  • Outstanding Production of a Musical - "Avenue Q," featuring Charmagne Chi (Hale), 2000.
  • Outstanding Actor in a Musical - Steve Copps, '07, "Floyd Collins" (American Repertory Theatre of Western NY)
  • Outstanding Set Design - Greg Faust, '96, "Emperor and Galilean" (Torn Space Theatre)
  • Outstanding Costume Design - Professor Dixon Reynolds, "La Bête" (Irish Classical Theatre Company)
  • Katherine Cornell Award (Debut Performance) - Joshua Radford, '10, "The Hostage." (Irish Classical Theatre Company)

Marrazzo conducts master classes
