Chairpersons Raymond Rushboldt and Martha Smith have announced that SUNY Fredonia’s goal of $43,000 for the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) has been met and exceeded with a new record in giving.

As of Dec. 7, $51,076 was collected in contributions and pledges for the annual appeal. Co-chair Rushboldt expressed his thanks “for the incredible generosity of the campus. We should all be proud of this accomplishment in setting a new record.” Co-chair Smith added, “As well as being grateful for the generosity of our campus colleagues, I am excited about how this increase in contributions will aid the organizations that count on SEFA funding.”

Contributions are still being accepted by campaign representatives throughout campus. Other members of the SEFA Committee at SUNY Fredonia include Sally Crist, Andrea Domst, Kathy Dyckes, Sue Freitas, Subra Pendyala, Jodi Rzepka and Megan Zaffalon, with Michael Daley as an ex-officio member. Vice President Tracy Bennett serves as the Northern Chautauqua County SEFA Chair.

Fourteen winners of a campus drawing of donors were treated to lunch at the home of President Dennis and Jan Hefner and received a gift of their homemade candy. One hundred additional campus winners received treats including t-shirts, gift cards to the University Bookstore, Starbucks and the Signature Café, tickets to campus events, and free ice skating at the university rink.
