David Kinkela co-edits CELJ award-winning issue

David Kinkela, associate professor of History, served as co-editor of, “Water: History, Power, Crisis,” a special issue of Radical History Review, which was recently named the co-winner of the Council of Editors Learned Journal’s Best Special Issue Award for 2013.

Jurors praised the issue for its unity and coherence and remarked that it was especially gifted in its interdisciplinary abilities.The issue was made far-reaching and compelling with the inclusion of two provocative photo essays that shed light on the impacts of the water crisis in different parts of the world.The great use of photography on the cover was also cited. The issue is likely to be of interest to a broad scholarly audience.

Radical History Review is one of more than 40 journals published by Duke University Press, which is known for publishing works in the humanities and social sciences.
