Filmmaker Nefin Dinc invited to discuss work in Cyprus

Please add descriptive text for this image.Communication professor Nefin Dinc will participate in a public screening and discussion of her documentary film, “The Other Town,” in Nicosia, Cyprus, on March 21 and 22.

The screening is being held as part of the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research’s Multiperspectivity and Intercultural Dialogue in Education project. She will be joined by fellow filmmaker Hercules Millas, who worked with her on the project.

The award-winning film explores how prevailing citizen beliefs and government policies in Turkey and Greece can foster prejudices that perpetuate conflict between nations.

Professor Dinc and Millas will also give a public lecture titled, "The image of ‘The Other’ in Education," on March 22.
