Fredonia grad named international ed assistant director

The International Education Center at SUNY Fredonia announced that Fredonia alumna Mary Hills is the new Assistant Director of International Education. Ms. Hills comes to Fredonia from SUNY Plattsburgh where she was the Study Abroad Manager in their Global Education Office.

Prior to her time at Plattsburgh, she was employed at Broome Community College where she was the Study Abroad Coordinator for over two years. 

Mary has a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Fredonia and a Master's degree in School Counseling from the University at Buffalo.

She studied abroad at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand for a semester during college and spent a month in Guayaquil, Ecuador studying Spanish in January 2009.

After receiving her degree from SUNY Fredonia, she spent a year in National Service with Literacy AmeriCorps in South Florida where she taught adult immigrants to read and speak English. Mary has extensive travel experience and is passionate about International Education and Service. She is excited about working with our students and faculty to create new programs throughout the world.
