FREDONIA, N.Y.—Feb. 18, 2009—OSCAR at SUNY Fredonia has a special meaning: it's the university's way of highlighting the academic and creative achievements of its undergraduates. Director of the Office of Student Creative Activity and Research (OSCAR) Jack Croxton has put out a call for students to participate in the annual OSCAR Expo which will be held Thursday, April 3, in the Williams Center.

"We are truly a community of learners," Dr. Croxton said. "This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their accomplishments and for the university to recognize their excellent work."

Students of all academic disciplines are eligible. Applications must be submitted electronically by March 16 through the online application form.  Students are welcome to submit individual or group proposals for oral, poster, or computer presentations. They may also propose multimedia presentations, ask to display their creative work, or propose a live musical or theatrical performance. Submissions may be from both in and out of the classroom.
