Laura Deen Johnson guest lectured at Tabor College

Laura Deen Johnson teaches courses in radio.

Laura Deen Johnson, assistant professor of communications, was a guest speaker at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, where she addressed the topic, "Expressions of Civil Region in Post 9-11 America." The multi-media presentation took place March 12 in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center Lobby.  

Johnson's career in radio broadcasting began in 1981 at WHIL-FM in Mobile, Ala.

During her career, she was an announcer, a music programmer, music director and station manager at public radio stations in Alabama, Arkansas, and Florida. She received her doctorate from the University of Florida, a master's degree in business administration from the University of West Florida and a degree in music from Florida State University.
