Learning Commons partnership debuts in library; focus on summer sessions

Reed Library is happy to announce the first Learning Commons partnership with the Department of Lifelong Learning and Special Programs. A representative from Lifelong Learning will be available
at Reed Library to answer questions and help students register for Summer Session Classes, on Monday, April 11 (2 to 4 p.m.); Tuesday April 12 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.); and Wednesday, April 13 (1 to 4 p.m.) (www.fredonia.edu/Summer)

Providing a central location for students to receive information is central to the concept of a Learning Commons. This pilot program with Lifelong Learning will assist Reed Library in fulfilling its future goal of establishing a Learning Commons @Reed. Eric Skowronski, Director of Lifelong Learning and Special Programs, is excited about this partnership with Reed Library.  "This is a very effective way of reaching out to our students on a personal level," he said.
