Nearly 90 students have become members of one of SUNY Fredonia's newest student groups, The Chinese Club. Sponsored by the Student Association, the club includes Asian and non-Asian students.

The purpose of Chinese Club is to promote greater awareness of Chinese culture and life, as well as to provide social support to Asian students far from their homes," co-advisor, Dr. Linda Dorsten (sociology) said.

Dr. Lan Cheng of mathematics is the other co-advisor, and the group's president is Changcen Su.

Recently, "Kuaizi Night" was held to show students how to hold and use Chinese chopsticks (kuaizi). Students played games using their new skills maneuvering chopsticks.

President Su said that she and her officers welcome everyone to Chinese Club events. Please watch for campus announcements about upcoming activities!
