SUNY Fredonia Professor Paul Mockovak is one of ten winners of the "Faces of 50+ Real People" model search conducted by AARP The Magazine, the world’s largest-circulation magazine with more than 34 million readers, aimed at people age 50 and older.

The Magazine is asking its readers to choose the final “Reader’s Choice” winner.  The finalists, chosen because they embody the qualities of 50+ America, are revealed in the magazine’s March/April issue.

Mockovak, a member of the Theatre and Dance faculty at SUNY Fredonia, is 53.  His inspiration and confidence come, in part, from his parents, who at ages 85 and 83, bike, walk, play tennis, and participate in Elderhostel. "I was one of 10 out of 9,000 entries selected to be the "Face of 50 +" for their model search," he said. "I had a great 4 days in Minneapolis in November had a model shoot and make-over.
