Reception planned Monday for new Multicultural Affairs director

An open house will be held Monday, Nov. 12, 9 to 11 a.m., to welcome Jellema Stewart as the new director of the Center for Multicultural Affairs at SUNY Fredonia. The open house will be held at E125 Thompson. Refreshments will be served.

Ms. Stewart earned a master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College in 2010 and an undergraduate degree in Sociology, also at Buffalo State. She has worked as a teacher in the New York City area and a complex director for Residence Life at Buffalo State.

During her undergraduate education, she was a resident assistant for three years and a student assistant with the Educational Opportunity Program.
