“Fredonia Showcase,” art works by students from the Department of Visual Arts and New Media at SUNY Fredonia, is the current exhibit in the Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery at Rockefeller Arts Center. The show runs through Sunday, March 3.  Gallery hours are 2 to 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday; 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

“Each spring, the faculty of the Department of Visual Arts and New Media submit work for inclusion in the Fredonia Showcase, an exhibition that provides an opportunity for the faculty to recognize work from exceptional artists across many different disciplines within the department,” Art Gallery Director Tina Hastings said. “It is an honor for students to have their work selected because with 11 studio faculty members - plus several adjunct faculty - submitting up to six artworks each the gallery can fill up very quickly.”

The “Fredonia Showcase” will feature works by Visual Arts and New Media students from various class levels. The exhibition is an opportunity for students to see their work displayed in a gallery.

“There is always a wonderful mix of artwork,” Hastings said.
