Welch's & National Grape Cooperative announce scholarships

Eligible students are invited to compete for two $1,000 scholarships to the State University of New York at Fredonia as a result of a scholarship fund created by Welch’s and National Grape Cooperative for its employees and grower-owners.

Established through the Fredonia College Foundation, the Welch’s/National Grape scholarships have been awarded since 1996. Scholarship applications are now available for students who will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the academic year commencing in the fall of 2010. Any child or grandchild of a Welch’s or National Grape employee or member in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio or Canada is eligible for the scholarship.

Applications are due May 10. Interested candidates, who must have applied or have already been accepted to SUNY Fredonia for the fall 2010 academic year, should contact Ivis Edgerton at National Grape Cooperative, 2 S. Portage St., Westfield, N.Y., 14787 (716-326-5368).
