PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED  and expected to familiarize themselves with the SUNY Minority- and Women-Owned Business (MWBE) requirements for this solicitation.  MWBE goals have been established at 15% for minority-owned business participation and 15% for women-owned business participation with a total contract participation goal of 30%.  What this means is that the successful bidder will be required to assign the appropriate percentages of the contract awarded to NYS-certified MWBE businesses (whether it is in part assigned to their own company as a NYS-certified MBE or WBE, and/or whether they must assign it to another).  The following documents and links are crucial in developing a successful plan and fulfilling these goals.  In the event the vendor cannot meet the established goals, all waiver requests must be well documented and are only approved through the NYS Governor's Office.  Those wishing to speak with the MWBE Program Officer assigned to this contract should telephone Shannon Moore, Director of Contract Services, at 716-673-4998.
